Studying and permanent residence in Canada

Studying and permanent residence in Canada

Canada’s immigration policy at the macro level today is in favor of attracting immigrants from Canadian university graduates. Among the very important factors in accepting and attracting immigrants in Canada are age, higher education and useful work experience. On the other hand, in Canada, educational qualifications and work records obtained in other countries have a lower value compared to studying and working in Canada. Hence, Canada welcomes qualified international students.
After completing their studies in eligible courses and authorized training centers (government colleges and universities) , depending on the length of the study period, students can receive a Graduate Work Permit (PGWP) for one to three years. One of the most important conditions in obtaining the aforementioned work permit is having a legal residence status in Canada after completing education. Students can apply for a work permit up to 180 days after completing their studies.
After completing education and at least 12 months of work in related careers (0,A,B) It is necessary to apply for permanent residence through the express entry system, which is usually reviewed within six months and a permanent residence visa is issued. During the period of residence application review, the applicant is not required to be in Canada.
