Permanent residency through the Canadian Work Experience Program (CEC)

Permanent residency through the Canadian Work Experience Program (CEC).

In an unprecedented move, the Canadian Immigration Department recently accepted more than 27,000 people for permanent residence through the Canadian Experience Class (CEC).

The CEC immigration program or the “Work Experience in Canada” program is one of the three immigration programs that use the express entry method and applicants are selected after obtaining sufficient points.

The application requirements for the CEC program are:

1. Having at least one year of full-time work experience in Canada (30 hours per week)

2. Working in occupations of at least level B according to the classification of occupations (NOC)

3. It is not acceptable to work as a self-employed person, while studying, voluntarily or as an apprentice.

4. If you have a job at level B, IELTS score 5 and level 0 and A score 6 are required.

5. Work records for at least the last 3 years. One of the most common and successful immigration paths is to study in Canada and then work for at least one year. In the last round of the lottery on February 13 this year, almost all the people who applied through CEC received invitations.
