Easing the financial requirements in the permanent residence program for parents through sponsorship.
The Canadian Immigration Department has announced the following temporary guidelines for sponsors to meet sponsorship conditions:
1. It is not necessary to calculate the additional thirty percent of the annual income for the fiscal year 2020 in calculating the minimum income. However, for the previous years, the annual income plus 30% should be taken into account as in the past.
2. Public benefits from unemployment insurance in 2020 can also be included in the annual income calculation.
It is worth mentioning that this year, 10,000 people and 30,000 people in the next year will receive permanent residence visas for parents through sponsorship. Applicants can register from October 13 to November 3.
