The immigration office facilitates finding a job
In the near future, the Canadian Immigration Department will provide the possibility of using a new tool through which new immigrants can choose the best city to live in in terms of job opportunities and the possibility of advancement.
The project to build this tool, named GeoMatch, has been ongoing since 2018 by the Canadian Immigration Service and the Immigration Policy Lab at Stanford University. Immigrants are often attracted to the three cities of Toronto, Vancouver and Montreal, while these cities may not be the best places to find a job and progress.
GeoMatch can suggest the best option based on individual conditions and favorite cities of people.
