Checking the validity of your asylum application while in Canada Issuing a work permit Federal IFH insurance<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">2- Canada Border Services Agency CBSA<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">&#8211; Examining your application at the border and making a decision on the order of your departure from Canada.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">3- Immigration Department IRB-RPD support department &#8211; Asylum review of your asylum application in the BOL form, collection of documents and evidences that have been presented to you, decision to accept or reject the asylum application<\/span><\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; color: #ff0000;\"><strong>Steps to apply for asylum in Canada:<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\"><strong>There are two different timelines for applying for asylum in Canada:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\"><strong> <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\"><strong>1- Applying for asylum at the Canadian border<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\"><strong>first stage :<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">&#8211; Completion of the interview and the justification of the application at the entry border of Canada, if it is justified, you will receive the following items:<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">The first application form-BOC, which must be completed within 15 days and given to the Immigration and Asylum Board.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">If you are among the DCO countries &#8211; the specified countries, the date of review and hearing of your asylum application is 45 days after submitting the form.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">If you are from a country other than the designated countries, you will be given a date up to the next 60 days.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\"><strong>second stage :<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">On the 15th day, submit the application form to the Immigration and Asylum Board.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\"><strong>third level :<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">&#8211; 10 days before the decision meeting, submit the evidence and documents on your claim to the Immigration and Asylum Board.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\"><strong>Fourth step:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">&#8211; The countries specified in the DCO receive 45 days and other countries 60 days to review the request and hear the request at the Immigration and Asylum Board.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\"><strong> <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\"><strong>2- Submission of asylum application to<\/strong> <strong>IRCC &#8211;<\/strong> <strong>Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\"><strong>first stage:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\"> Go to the IRCC &#8211; Immigration, Asylum and Citizenship Department or get the asylum forms from this address and fill them.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">: http:\/\/www.cic.gc.ca\/english\/refugees\/inside\/apply-how.asp<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\"><strong>second stage :<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Go to IRCC &#8211; Immigration, Asylum and Citizenship Department and submit the completed forms. Note that you should be there before 10 am and if you cannot speak English or French, be sure to go with a translator. The forms will be checked and you will be notified of a date for the interview session.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\"><strong>third level :<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Attend the competency review session. If your request is accepted, you will be notified of the date of review of the case, which will be within the next 30 days for specific DCO countries and a maximum of 60 days for non-DCO countries.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">10 days before the decision meeting, submit the evidence and documents on your claim to the Immigration and Asylum Board.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\"><strong>Fourth step:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">&#8211; The countries specified in the DCO receive 45 days and other countries 60 days to review the request and hear the request at the Immigration and Asylum Board.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Application acceptance:<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\"><strong>If the request is accepted: <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">If you are not called up to 15 days after the meeting, you can apply for permanent residence at IRCC. If you are a DFN, you must wait 1 year to apply for permanent residence.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\"><strong>Request rejection: <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">If the request is rejected:<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">1- Request legal help.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">2- Follow up within 15 days through refugee review &#8211; RAD.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">3- Apply for PRRA.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">5- Ask for humanitarian aid.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #ff0000; font-size: 14pt;\"><strong>Asylum application files in Canada<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Canada is one of the countries that has always been one of the most popular destinations among asylum seekers from all over the world due to its humanitarian approach.
