In each province, the authority for training and awarding certificates for each job operates independently. Therefore, a person who has a license to work in a profession in one province, for example, an electrician&#8217;s license in Ontario, is not necessarily allowed to do such work in British Columbia.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">The <strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Red Seal<\/span><\/strong> certificate is a certificate related to technical-professional occupations that has interprovincial validity.  In terms of standards <strong>, Red Seal<\/strong> is at a higher level than provincial certificates, and for example, a plumber or building electrician who has received a <strong>Red Seal<\/strong> certificate can work in that profession in different provinces. Obtaining the <strong>Red Seal<\/strong> certificate also increases the chances of employment.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">To obtain this certificate, you must participate in its tests.
